Develop your outdoor paintings skills: set up, composition, value, color and paint handling. We will take our paintboxes outdoors in Providence and Jamestown. Subject matter will include landscape, still life, garden, architecture and seascape. When inclement weather keeps us in the studio we will paint from botanical and/or structural still lives and study elements of master paintings. You will learn how to find what is most interesting to you and to interpret it in your own, unique way. In case of inclement weather (wet or high above 85, high below 65) we will meet indoors in PVD.
Registrants will receive process notes and specific locations. Classes consist of group demonstration and individual instruction class size is limited to 6 students. All media welcome, demonstrations in oil.

Concerned about missing classes? The course is designed to develop you comfort level, skill and momentum over time, missing a class here and there need not keep you from participating . Feel free to reserve your spot and attend the dates that work with your schedule.
Attendance Policy: Attendance is not mandatory, feel free to attend the classes that work with your schedule. However, due to the intimate class size, there are no refunds for missed classes.
