These classes are suitable for artists at all levels of experience, including beginners.
A note on solvents: Contrary to popular belief they are not necessary for oil painting. In these classes we thin our paints, when necessary, with linseed oil and clean our brushes with that and soap.
These roving watercolor classes are designed to bring your art making practice out of the studio and into your life. The method I use has been enjoyed by experienced artists looking to expand their comfort zone as well as those brand new to painting and drawing.
Enrolled students are invited to join me on museum field trips: Friday, August 24 and October 5 in New England. I'll be sketching in pencil and adding watercolor at lunch and in the lobby. There's no charge to join me, you are responsible for your museum entrance, exact locations to be announced. Email me to sign up.
